Our story
In 1881, Fritz Stettler founded a workshop for the manufacture of ruby watch movement stones in St. Niklaus near Biel.
140 years later, the workshop has become an internationally recognised company without ever having stopped innovating to adapt to the needs and expectations of the market.
Since December 2016, STETTLER SAPPHIRE has joined the IMI Group, a family-owned and independent industrial group.
Since its creation in 1987, the IMI Group has reflected the modern world; in motion.
Active in the watch components, luxury goods, high-tech industry and laser sectors, IMI has developed and diversified considerably in recent years.
The merger with STETTLER has enabled the company to build and pursue its development independently.
